Nitrogen Monoxide (NO)
NO is the principal emitted NOx gas from high temperature
combustion in air. This gas is a catalyst in the reactions that
cause the destruction of ozone. Reacting with ozone and tropospheric
radicals, NO is inextricably linked with the polluted urban atmospheric
production of NO2, ozone, and peroxyacetyl nitrate.
